’Say Read Picture’ Method’ To Improve Speech and Reading Among Hearing-Impaired Students (58 - 71)

Abstract

The purpose of this research to examine the usage of ’Kaedah Sebut Baca Bergambar’ to improve speech and reading of hearing impaired pupils at SK Sri Adika Raja Gerik, Perak. Three pupils are using as respondents. Focus in this research were pupils pronounce vowels(v), consonants(c) and read words cvcv with picture aids. Respondents need to sign picture, spell and pronounce syllable and word. Metdhodology used in this research are pre and post test. Before that, researcher conducted observation to pupils and interview to parents. The research show that pupils archieved to speech and read cvcv by ’Kaedah Sebut Baca Bergambar’. Finding are shown by table and graf. Definitely, ’Kaedah Sebut Baca Bergambar’ should be use to hearing impaired pupuils to improve their speech and reading cvcv.
