Kajian ini dijalankan bagi menentukan tahap kecergasan daya tahan kardiovaskular pemain ragbi pasukan Kedah yang akan menyertai Kejohanan Ragbi Agong Cup’s, peringkat kebangsaan. Instrumen ujian yang digunakan ialah Ujian PACER 20-meter Multistage Shuttle Run. Jumlah sampel kajian adalah seramai 40 orang (N=40) terdiri dari pemain-pemain yang berumur antara 19 hingga 39 tahun. Penilaian terhadap tahap pencapaian daya tahan kardiovaskular boleh dilaksanakan dengan pengukuran V02max (ml·kg-1· min-1) kerana skor paling tepat boleh diperoleh untuk mengukur tahap kecergasan daya tahan kardiovaskular seseorang individu. Oleh yang demikian min V02max (ml·kg-1· min-1) yang diperoleh dari ujian PACER 20-meter Multistage Shuttle Run menunjukkan bahawa tahap V02max (ml·kg-1· min-1) yang dimiliki oleh sampel kajian adalah baik dan berada pada prestasi tinggi.

The study was conducted to determine the level of cardiovascular performance for Kedah team rugby players who will participate in the national Agong Cup's rugby championship. The test instrument used was the 20-meter multistage shuttle run pacer test. The total sample of the study was 40 (n = 40) consisted of players between the ages of 19 and 39. Assessment of cardiovascular endurance levels can be performed with measurements of VO2max (ml • kg-1 • min-1) as the most accurate score can be obtained to measure the fitness level of individual cardiovascular endurance. Therefore min VO2max (ml • kg-1 • min-1) obtained from the 20meter multistage shuttle run pacer test shows that the VO2max (ml • kg-1 • min-1) level of the study sample is good and is at high level.
