Model perbelanjaan insurans bagi isi rumah berpendapatan terendah (B40) berdasarkan kepada Fungsi Penggunaan Isi Rumah. Pembinaan model spesifikasi dalam kajian ini menggunakan Model Kuasa Dua Terkecil manakala pemboleh ubah bersandar dalam kajian ini adalah jumlah perbelanjaan insurans manakala faktor sosio-demografi dan faktor ekonomi adalah pemboleh ubah bebas. Faktor sosio-demografi terdiri daripada jantina, taraf perkahwinan, umur, bangsa, lokasi kediaman, tahap pendidikan, jenis pekerjaan dan bilangan tanggungan.Faktor ekonomi pula terdiri daripada pendapatan, perbelanjaan, simpanan dan pinjaman. Jenis data yang digunakan bagi model ini adalah data primer (soal selidik). Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa faktor penting yang mempengaruhi perbelanjaan insurans adalah taraf perkahwinan (ibu/bapa tunggal), jenis sektor pekerjaan (bekerja sendiri), bilangan tanggungan, jumlah perbelanjaan sebulan dan jumlah simpanan sebulan.Implikasi daripada kajian ini adalah pihak kerajaan terutama Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) dan syarikat insurans perlu bekerjasama menyediakan produk insurans yang mesra pengguna iaitu isi rumah B40 yang mengfokuskan kepada kebajikan mereka. Kerjasama yang dimaksudkan adalah dengan mengvariasikan produk berdasarkan ciri-ciri yang mereka miliki dan kekangan yang dihadapi. Antaranya menyediakan pelbagai pakej yang mengfokuskan kepada mereka.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The purpose of this study to identify the influence of socio-demographic factors and economic factors on insurance expenditure among B40's lowest income households in Perak. The model of insurance expenditure for the lowest income households (B40) based on Household Expenditure Function. The specification model in this study uses Ordinary Least Square Model while the dependent variables in this study are the total insurance expenditure while socio-demographic factors and economic factors are independent variables. Socio-demographic factors are gender, marital status, age, race, residence, education level, occupation type and number of dependents. Economic factors include income, expenses, savings and loans. The type of data used for this study is primary data (questionnaire). The results show that the factors that influence insurance expenses are marital status (single parent), type of employment (self-employed), number of dependents, total expenditure per month and total savings per month. The implication of this study is the government, especially the Central Bank of Malaysia(BNM ) and insurance companies need to work together to provide consumers-friendly insurance products that are B40 households that focus on their welfare. The intended collaboration is to vary the product based on the features they have and the constraints they are faced, including providing a variety of packages that focus on them.</p> ER -
