The objective of the article is to analyse Malaysians' reaction towards the Australian education policy which is seen as unfair to Malaysian students in the country. This article uses a qualitative method through historical research based on document analysis. The research findings show that Malaysians' reaction to Australia was seen as a protest that led to the decline in the number of Malaysian students pursuing their studies in Australia. The reaction also showed an increase in awareness among Malaysian leaders to improve the level of educational attainment in the country to be on par with other developed countries. The implications of the study indicate that there is a need for a more aggressive education policy in improving the quality and image of Malaysia's higher education in the eyes of the world.</p> ER -
