Abstract

The objective of this study is to reveal the direct influence of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, innovativeness and organizational commitment on the performance of the echelon iii employees of the Regional Government of Palembang Municipality. This study employs a survey method and the data are analyzed using path analysis, the number of respondents is 148 samples who are selected by means of random sampling. The result of the study reveals the following findings: (1) There is direct influence of self-efficacy on the organizational commitment; (2) There is direct influence of emotional intelligence on the organizational commitment; (3) There is direct influence of innovativeness on the organizational commitment; (4) There is direct influence on the organizational commitment on the performance. The result of this study also concludes that the influence of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, innovativeness and organizational commitment on the performance of the echelon iii employees of the Regional Government of Palembang Municipality is an important factor in improving performance.
