Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bina Insan Bitara (BIB) Program in fostering holistic development among new undergraduates at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Utilizing a quantitative approach through a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 2,507 respondents representing ten faculties. The research instrument comprises ten human development constructs, including morality, leadership, and resilience, which underwent rigorous validity and reliability testing. The findings indicate a high level of effectiveness across all constructs, with the morality construct recording the most dominant mean score. Inferential analysis also identified significant perceptual differences based on gender in specific constructs such as manners and creativity. The implications of this study underscore the necessity for continuous improvement in logistics management and module content to ensure the sustainability of the program’s impact on the character development of future educators.
