Abstract

This study on Muslim women that is focused on the issue of gender needs to be readdressed. Methodologies that have been used in such studies were commonly based on the traditional approach (backward looking), western concept on feminism and on intellectual reformism. This paper suggests that the previous methodologies need to be deconstructed and subsequently reconstructed in order to be able to achieve its objectivity in the study of Muslim women and free itself from previous gender prejudices.
