Abstract

Mashaf ‘Uthmani was created based on the consensus (ijmak) of the companions of Rasulullah SAW. Despite of this fact, there were allegations with regard to its authenticity, which made some muslims confused and doubtful. This research is used qualitative using library research as the main method. In general. There are six allegations doubting the authenticity of the Quran; the refusal to accept the mutawatir status of verse 128 Surah Ali ‘Imran, the abrogation of verses about suckling, allegations on loss of verses by Ibn‘Umar, and allegations that there were errors in the mushaf‘Uthmani. In conclusion, efforts to discredit the authenticity of al-Quran have been successfully rebutted by muslim scholars
