Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 27 melalui statistik deskriptif melibatkan kekerapan, peratusan, min dan sisihan piawai. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa komponen multimedia mencatatkan nilai min tertinggi (M = 4.66), diikuti aspek teknikal dan kandungan (M = 4.57), manakala tahap kebolehgunaan keseluruhan modul mencatatkan nilai min sebanyak 4.49.
The integration of digital technology into agricultural education has created new opportunities to enhance students’ understanding of complex and visually oriented topics. One of the challenging topics in Plant Protection courses is the identification of abnormal symptoms in oil palm seedlings, which often requires students to differentiate between disease symptoms and nutrient deficiencies through visual observation. Conventional teaching approaches are often limited in providing realistic and interactive learning experiences. Therefore, this study aimed to develop and evaluate the usability of the PalmGuard AR Interactive Module based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology for the topic of abnormal symptoms in oil palm seedlings among Bachelor of Agricultural Science Education students at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The study employed a quantitative approach using a development and survey research design. The module was developed based on the ADDIE instructional design model consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 73 students who had completed the Plant Protection course. The collected data were analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27 through descriptive statistics involving frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The findings revealed that the multimedia component recorded the highest mean score (M = 4.66), followed by technical and content aspects (M = 4.57), while the overall usability of the module achieved a mean score of 4.49. These findings indicate a high level of acceptance and satisfaction among respondents regarding the use of the PalmGuard AR module. The study concludes that the module has significant potential as an innovative teaching and learning tool capable of enhancing students’ understanding, engagement, and learning experience in agricultural education. The implementation of AR technology in agricultural learning also supports digital transformation initiatives and contributes towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
