The outdoor learning environment is a key factor in influencing the psychomotor development of kindergarten children. Poor and underdeveloped psychomotor skills among kindergarten children are often influenced by the surrounding environment, particularly outdoor spaces. Therefore, the primary aim of this study is to identify children's perceptions of the kindergarten landscape at NCDRC, UPSI, and how it impacts their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and psychomotor development. The study participants consisted of 100 kindergarten children at NCDRC, UPSI, aged 4 to 6 years old. A visual-based survey questionnaire was distributed to the children to assess their perceptions of the landscape at NCDRC's outdoor environment. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, where percentages, frequency distributions, and means for each item were used to evaluate the children's perception index regarding the landscape design outside the classroom, and how they view, appreciate, and interact with the physical environment. Overall, the findings of the study indicated that the outdoor learning environment had a positive relationship with the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and psychomotor development of kindergarten children at NCDRC, UPSI. There were significant differences in how children of different age groups perceived the outdoor landscape environment. The results also showed that a comfortable and appealing outdoor environment positively affects the psychomotor development of children. It is hoped that the findings of this study will provide positive implications for steps that can be taken by kindergarten management, the Ministry of Education, and relevant stakeholders in education to help create comfortable, attractive, and conducive outdoor landscape environments, particularly at the kindergarten level.
