A survey of the level of acceptance and effectiveness of the implementation of the New Standard SOP of COVID-19 among students in a school environment

This study aims to examine the level of acceptance and effectiveness of implementing the new norm SOP COVID-19 among students in the District of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. In addition, the relationship between student acceptance and the effectiveness of implementing the new norm SOP COVID-19 in the school environment also used. A total of 310 students randomly selected as respondents consisted of 103 male students (33.2%) and 207 female students (66.8%). The data collection instrument used was a set of questionnaires containing 31 items. Data were analyzed using the Social Science Package Statistics (SPSS) Version 27.0. Statistical analysis used in this study was descriptive (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential (correlation analysis and regression analysis). The findings show that the level of acceptance and effectiveness of the implementation of the new norm SOP COVID-19 in the school environment is at a high level that, respectively, M = 4.429, SP = .612 and M = 4.573, SP = .559. This study's findings also indicate a strong and significant positive relationship between student acceptance with the effectiveness of the implementation of the new norm SOP COVID-19 in the school environment (r = .685, p = .000). In conclusion, the findings of this study have succeeded in obtaining positive results where students can adapt and accept new norms that have been applied very well and show confidence in the effectiveness of the implementation of SOP new norms implemented by the school. Therefore, the findings of this study are expected to be able to contribute facts and a scientific approach for the reference of the school management and the government to improve or develop any epidemic prevention procedures in the future that are more strategic, dynamic and sustainable to facilitate the school in implementing it without disturbing teaching and learning process and able to create a safe and comfortable school environment for students.
