Determining the Level of Argumentative Essay Writing Ability of Form 3 Students in Argumentative Essay Compilation Instruction Based on Creativity Theory

Abstract

ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு எழுதும் திறன் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. நல்ல எழுத்துத் திறனைக் கொண்டிருப்பதன் மூலம் நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்குத் தெரிவிக்க விரும்புவதை வெளிப்படுத்தலாம். நமது சிந்தனைத் திறனையும் வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள முடியும். சில மாணவர்கள் எழுதும் திறன் குறிப்பாக வாதக் கட்டுரையில் நன்றாக இல்லை. இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியானது 1964 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜீன் பியாஜெட்டால் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட ஆக்கபூர்வமான கோட்பாட்டைப் பயன்படுத்தி படிவம் 3 மாணவர்களிடையே வாதம் எழுதும் திறனை வளர்ப்பதாகும். எனவே அந்த ஆய்வாளர் தமிழ் மொழியில் வாதக் கட்டுரை எழுதும் கோட்பாட்டைப் பயன்படுத்தினார். எஸ்.எம்.கே. தமன் செலேசா ஜெயாவின் தேர்வில் தமிழ் மொழியை கூடுதல் பாடமாக தேர்வு செய்யும் ஐந்து மாணவர்கள் இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியின் வழக்கு ஆய்வு. இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியை மேற்கொள்வதற்கு, முன்-சோதனை, பிந்தைய சோதனை, வாதக் கட்டுரைகளின் தொகுப்பு மற்றும் பின்னூட்டப் படிவத்தை ஆய்வாளர் செய்ய வேண்டும்.   இதன் மூலம் எழுதும் திறன் எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதை மாணவர்களின் புரிதலை மேம்படுத்தலாம். அதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் வாதக் கட்டுரைகளை எழுதும் மாணவர்களின் புரிதலையும் மேம்படுத்தலாம். ஏனென்றால், படிவம் மூன்று மாணவர்களுக்கான உஜியன் அகீர் செமஸ்டர் அகாடமிக் (யுஏஎஸ்ஏ) தேர்வில் கேட்கக்கூடிய கட்டுரைகளில் வாதக் கட்டுரையும் ஒன்றாகும்.

Writing skills is very important for a human. By having a good writing skills we can Express what we want to convey to others. We also can develop our thinking skills. Some students are not really good in writing skills especially in argumentative essay. This research is about developing argumentative writing skills among form 3 students by using constructivism theory which invented by Jean Piaget in 1964. There are many research to develop students writing skills by using this theory. So that researcher used the theory in writing argumentative essay in Tamil language. The case study of this research is five students who choose Tamil language as their additional subject in exam from SMK Taman Selesa Jaya. For doing this research researcher do pre-test, post-test, collection of argumentative essays and feedback form.   By doing this we can improve the understanding of students how important is the writing skills. Not only that we also can improve students understanding to write argumentative essays. This is because argumentative essay is one of the essays which may ask in Ujian Akhir Semester Akademik (UASA) exam for form three students.
