Thirukkural Teaching and Learning Approaches among Trainee Teachers

Abstract

இவ்வாய்வு பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்களிடையே திருக்குறள் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் அணுகுமுறைகள் எனும் தலைப்பில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்கள் எழுதும் திருக்குறள் தொடர்பான நாள் பாடத்திட்டத்தில் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் அணுகுமுறைகளைக் கண்டறிதல், பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்கள் எழுதும் திருக்குறள் தொடர்பான நாள் பாடத்திட்டத்தில் 21-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டுக் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் மற்றும் தகவல் தொடர்புத் தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் பயன்பாட்டைப் பகுத்தாய்தல் எனும் நோக்கங்களைக் கொண்டு இவ்வாய்வு நிகழ்த்தப்பட்டது. ஆய்வாளர் ஆவணப் பகுப்பாய்வு முறையைப் பயன்படுத்தி பண்புசார் மற்றும் அளவுசார் அணுகுமுறைகளின் வழி இவ்வாய்வை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். இவ்வாய்வில் பயிற்றுப் பணியை முடித்த சுல்தான் இட்ரிஸ் கல்வியியல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் தமிழ்த்துறையில் பயிலும் 20 ஏழாம் பருவ மாணவர்கள் உட்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். ஆய்வாளர் தனது ஆய்வுக்கான தரவுகளைத் திரட்டப் பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்களின் திருக்குறள் தொடர்பான நாள் பாடத்திங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தியுள்ளார். இவ்வாய்வின் முடிவில் பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்கள் திருக்குறள் கற்றல் கற்பித்தலில் மாணவர் மையக் கல்வி அணுகுமுறையைப் பயன்படுத்தியுள்ளனர் என்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டது. தொடர்ந்து, பெரும்பான்மையான பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்கள் திருக்குறள் கற்றல் கற்பித்தலில் Role play எனும் 21-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டுக் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் அணுகுமுறையை அதிகமாகப் பயன்படுத்தியுள்ளனர் என்பதும் பெரும்பான்மையான பயிற்சி ஆசிரியர்கள் திருக்குறள் கற்றல் கற்பித்தலில் தகவல் தொடர்புத் தொழில்நுட்பத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தவில்லை என்பதும் இவ்வாய்வின் வழி கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆக, விளைபயன்மிக்க திருக்குறள் கற்றல் கற்பித்தலை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டுமெனில் மாணவர் மையக் கல்வி அணுகுமுறையையும் 21-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டுக் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் அணுகுமுறையையும் தகவல் தொடர்புத் தொழில்நுட்பத்தையும் பயன்படுத்துவது அவசியமாகும்.

The research training has been conducted exclusively for training teachers on the methodologies of learning and teaching Thirukkural. It focuses on understanding the teaching methodologies, identified through the pedagogy of Thirukkural as taught in the curriculum designed by teachers, especially in the 21st-century learning and teaching methods, and the practical application of educational technology. This research has been conducted by utilizing evaluation and quantitative methods through the routes of qualitative methods. As a result of this research, 20 seventh-semester students, including Sultan Idris Institute of Education's Tamil department, have been included. The researcher has used the findings of his research to utilize the teaching days related to Thirukkural for training the teachers. The conclusion of this research has identified that teachers have been effectively utilizing the teaching methodologies of Thirukkural to enhance students' learning. Furthermore, it has been observed that the highly effective teachers have extensively utilized the 21st-century learning and teaching method known as "Role Play" in the teaching of Thirukkural. It has also been noted that the highly effective teachers have not utilized the practical application of educational technology in the teaching of Thirukkural. Hence, it is imperative to utilize both the traditional method of teaching Thirukkural and the 21st-century learning and teaching method, along with the practical application of educational technology, to enhance the learning outcomes.
