This study aims to examine the relationship between financial efficiency and practice among B40 semester 1 students at UPSI. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 242 students from 9 faculties selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire as an instrument adapted from Salamon dan Lee (2012). Data were analyzed using a descriptive and inferential statistics. Deskriptive statistics involved frequency, mean and standard deviation using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) while inferential statistics involved t-test and correlation. The results of the direct relationship analysis showed that efficiency ( β = 0.360, p < 0.001) had a significant relationship on financial management practices. With these results, the hypothesis is supported. These findings indicate that management practices are highly correlated with financial management efficiency. Accordingly, students should be exposed to more efficient finance courses including managing finances well in business. In short, this research helps to explain a more inclusive global picture of the efficiencies influenced by financial management practices.
