Abstract

Pelajar sering menghadapi kesukaran semasa hendak memulakan penulisan karangan naratif.

“Teacher how do I start writing?” question that was asked regularly by students prior to writing a narrative composition because they do not acquire the writing technique required. In addition, low interest towards writing hinders students to follow writing lessons in class. With that, this research is making use of the ‘Mozart’ effect to instill motivation in students towards the learning of writing narrative composition. It is done by allowing students to sing in class while learning and understand the writing technique PCRPP. Singing activity aids students to fully utilise song lyrics to write narrative composition creatively. The PCRPP technique also helped students to craft out ideas and linking song lyrics with the story line of their narrative writing. Results from this research shows that the Mozart effect and PCRPP technique do aid students to produce introduction, development and conclusion of narrative composition creatively.
