ABSTRACT
Currently, the literary aspect has been a debatable topic especially among educators, educational obervers, education officers and experts in various fields of knowledge. This indicates how important literacy is at the moment and in the future. However, based on the results of reflections conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Indonesian National Literacy Movement, they discovered that School Literacy Movement has not achieved the desired results. The development of literacy culture is hoped to create its cultural practices among students and young generations who are grouped in the millennial generations. Actually, literacy itself has experienced its expansion from the previous scope which was limited to the ability to read, write and count. Now, literacy has expanded its scope into multi-literacy such as data, media and human literacy. Literates who master these three types of literacy will be the determinats and directors for the future nation. Therefore, its existence needs to be trained, strengthened and developed continuously until it becomes a culture among the millennial generations of nation.
