Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) is the only public university in Malaysia that offers teacher education studies as a key area. In line with the recommendations of the government to encourage sustainable campus development in Malaysia, UPSI has initiated several steps towards realizing these targets. However, the implementation of a sustainable campus should starts with the awareness of the campus community. This study identified five key aspects in which sustainability principles of a campus need to be implemented to achieve sustainability. These aspects includes curriculum, research, operations, broaden service and outreach as well as sustainability consideration in the planning and development of buildings and the physical environment of the campus. This study aimed to identify the level of awareness among UPSI’s students regarding the sustainability principles of a campus. It then analyzed the relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the students with the level of the students' awareness on the principles of a sustainable campus. Data were obtained quantitatively through questionnaires survey. A total of 377 students were randomly selected to be involved in the survey. The results showed that the level of awareness among UPSI’s students to the sustainability principles of campus is high with the mean value of 3.60. The study also revealed that there is a strong and significant relationship between the level of awareness and the knowledge and attitudes of the students with r-value of 0.895 respectively. Whereas there is a weak correlation between the level of students’ awareness and the level of their behavior with r-value of 0.459. It shows that higher knowledge clearly influence the attitudes and emotions of the students on the importance of sustainable practices on campus. * please refer hardcopy JURNAL PERSPEKTIF JILID 8 BILANGAN 1
