Time in The Poetry of Abū Al-ʿatāhiyah: An Objective Study(With the Conditions of Time as A Model)

Abstract

جاء تعبير الشاعر أبي العتاهية عن الدهر في ديوانه عبر بيان أفعاله، وأحواله، وتجلياتها على بني البشر، باستعماله: لأسلوب التضاد، أو الاستفهام، أو التوكيد، أو الأمر، بالتجاور مع العديد من المفاهيم الدالة على: الشدة والرخاء، والتقلب، والموت، والتصاريف، والوعد والوعيد، والريب، فضلاً عن الغرور، والفرقة، والعثار، والمكر، والخديعة؛ للدلالة على مظاهره، وصعابه، ومصائبه، وما يتداعى منها، بوصفها سمات أزلية لكينونة الدهر حتى قيام الساعة.

The poet Abu Al-Atahiya’s expression of eternity in his collection of poems came through an explanation of its actions, its conditions، and its manifestations on human beings، using it: the style of opposition, interrogation, emphasis or command in juxtaposition with many concepts indicating distress, prosperity, fluctuation, death and expenses. Promise, intimidation and doubt as well as vanity, division, stumbling, deception and deception. To indicate its manifestations, difficulties, calamities and what results from them, as they are eternal features of the being of eternity until the Hour of Judgment.
