Kepentingan Kajian Rintis dan Pengujian kebolehpercayaan borang selidik: Kajian tahap kesejahteraan hidup terhadap strategi daya tindak ke atas risiko pengulangan jenayah

Artikel ini merupakan sebuah penulisan tentang kajian rintis yang dilakukan ke atas soal selidik yang dibina. Artikel ini membincangkan tentang kepentingan menjalankan kajian rintis serta menguji soal selidik ke atas gelandangan bekas banduan sebagai responden kajian. Soal selidik ini adalah berkaitan dengan tahap kesejahteraan material, kesejahteraan subjektif terhadap strategi daya tindak ke atas risiko pengulangan jenayah. Sampel responden adalah dari kalangan gelandangan bekas banduan yang hidup di jalanan selepas dibebaskan. Mereka adalah dari kalangan yang hidup secara rentan di jalanan. Kajian ini telah menjalankan kajian rintis dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif ke atas 30 orang responden gelandangan bekas banduan sekitar Jalan Chow Kit. Pemilihan sampel bagi kajian ini menggunakan teknik persampelan bertujuan dengan menetapkan kriteria-kriteria khusus yang diperlukan. Kajian rintis ini melibatkan seramai 31 orang responden; seramai 26 orang lelaki dan 5 orang perempuan. Hasil nilai Alpha Cronbach keseluruhan bagi dimensi kesejahteraan hidup material menunjukkan sebanyak 0.894. Diikuti dengan dimensi kesejahteraan hidup subjektif sebanyak sebanyak 0.944. Hasil nilai Alpha Cronbach buat dimensi risiko gelandangan menunjukkan sebanyak 0.839 dan dimensi risiko pengulangan jenayah sebanyak 0.895. Dan dimensi terakhir iaitu dimensi strategi daya tindak menunjukkan nilai sebanyak 0.779. Hasil kajian rintis yang dijalankan telah membuktikan soal selidik yang dibina ini bersesuaian untuk digunakan bagi kajian sebenar dengan beberapa pembetulan yang dilakukan. Alpha Cronbach 0.70 atau ke atas secara amnya dianggap boleh diterima untuk tujuan penyelidikan, menunjukkan bahawa item dalam soal selidik boleh mengukur konstruk yang sama. Walaupun kajian rintis ini membawa kepada pelbagai cabaran namun hasil kajian rintis yang dilakukan menunjukkan nilai cronbach alpha yang tinggi bagi setiap bahagian angkubah yang ingin diukur. Antara cabaran yang dilalui ketika kajian rintis dilakukan adalah seperti: daya kefahaman responden yang rendah, kesukaran mendapatkan responden, soalan kabur, pengulangan soalan, format soal selidik dan item yang banyak. Keadaan ini membawa kepada usaha untuk menambahbaik soal selidik ini agar memastikan proses kajian lapangan sebenar yang lebih lancar dapat dilakukan kelak.
