Abstract

This study is related to the State Educational Technology Division (SETD): Towards upholding the teaching profession. This study was conducted through surveys and interviews. Respondents who answered the questionnaire items consisting of 196 teachers and 82 officers from the State Educational Technology Division. Interview respondens consist of officers from the State Educational Technology Division, seven secondry school teachers, and seven primary school teachers. The teachers involved were headmasters, resource center’s teachers or media’s teachers. Two sets of questionnaires were developed to answer the the research questions; one is for the survey and one is for the interview for obtaining the data from the State Educational Technology Division’s officers and teachers. A Statistical Package Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 15 was used to analyze the data. Statistical frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the study of the State Educational Technology Division: Toward upholding the teaching profesion which is related to SETD as training centers and services, curricular activities center, teachers convention center, educational exhibition center, teachers relationship with with SETD and SETD issues. The results showed that the SETD officers and teachers support the activities and roles as training centers and servicers, curricular activities center, teachers convention center, educational exhibition center, teacher’s relationships with SETD and SETD issues.
