The research aims to analyze students’ understanding in the subject theme of “Colonization in South-East-Asia in the 19th Century” based on the use of videos, articles, and PowerPoint slides. This research also aims to examine the impacts of those BBM on students’achievement based on their perception. The research is an action research, which was carried out for 14 weeks. The study uses a mixed method approach, by combining quantitative and qualitative data. This study is using observations and survey instruments. The questionnaire data collection was analyzed using SPSS statistics version 26. The findings show that some degree of increment in comprehension and knowledge of the students through the used of those teaching aids. BBM also has some impact to the students’ perception in learning the subject. In conclusion, the development of BBM based on videos, articles, and PowerPoint play significant role in setting students’ attention and interest, as well as a tool to provoke the students’ critical minds. Thus, BBM with creativity and technology elements are suitable to be integrated and implemented into the teaching and learning, as well as helping lecturers to obtain the course learning outcomes.
