NTDS implementation in Malaysia was designed to produce K-workers, highly skilled andknowledgeable, equipped with the social skills and learning methodologies. This studyon the implemetation of NTDS in Malaysia uses a mixed method approach of qualitativeand quantitative approach using questionnaires and interview protocols. The respondentswere made up of managers, coordinators and instructors NTDS. The results showedthat the element of social skills and learning methodology is still in its medium level.Therefore application of these elements needs to be improved in the delivery of trainingand it is more effective when implemented in the real workplace. Therefore, the industryshould play an important role in ensuring the effectiveness of the implementation of thistraining. The study also indicates a lack of involvement of the industry and this need to beimproved for effective implementation of the above elements. The results showed that theimplementation of NTDS is very effective in producing K-workers in Malaysia.
