This study aims to identify the impact of drought on the economic activity of the population, the impact of drought on social activities and also adaptation or preparation of the next population suggest methods to minimize the effects of drought. When El Nino occur, the daily activities of people affected and indirect impact on the economy. The population sample was 60 respondents in Kampung Gong Kulim and Dalam Rhu according to economic activities. The data was analyzed descriptively through field data collection in the form of questionnaire besides data collection in the form of mapping from the study location. Based on the field data analysis (questionnaires), it shows that the worst affected activities are agriculture followed by fisheries, construction, and industry. This is supported by a field survey by researchers who confirm the situation. They make agriculture and fisheries a major source of income. El-Nino phenomenon or long drought caused their financial resources to be affected especially in the agriculture and fisheries sector. It is undeniable that the effects of drought can affect human health. Residents easily feel headache, feeling tired and less energetic when exposed under extreme weather. The inventory step against the El-Nino phenomenon is sometimes considered to be trivial but as people should change attitudes.
