Perception of Coastal Communities on Climate Changes in Kuala Langat, Selangor

Climate changes are associated with increasing world temperatures or better known as global warming. This changes that occur to the weather have a negative impact on the daily activities of human life and affect the process of natural system of the earth. The impact of this climate change has seriously impacted human health, especially the coastal community living in the nearby area. The main purpose of this study was to identify the perception of the coastal community on the impact of climate change on the health of the people along the coast of Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat. This study uses quantitative methods through interviews and questionnaires to 50 respondents randomly. The findings show that most coastal communities are aware of climate change taking place today. Hence, in order to reduce the risk of climate change impact, an adaptation strategy needs to be done to the coastal community to continue their survival.
