Sample size selection is 400 respondents based on an opinion used by previous researches to carry out factor validation analysis. The selected respondents are the head of the household and reside in the Extended Metropolitan Region (EMR) of Klang-Langat Valley. The data were analyzed by using factor analysis such as the exploration factor analysis (EFA) and confirmation factor analysis (CFA). The results showed after using EFA and CFA only two subconstructs of socioeconomic constructs and six items with high validity value of CR exceeding 0.6. The two socioeconomic constructs are i) social and ii) economic. This analysis shows that the measurement model meets the measurement criteria for measuring the wellbeing of the peripheral area. The finding also show that the corresponding index value is p=0.000, 0,991 for GFI, 0.983 for CFI, 0.968 for TLI and RMSEA value is 0.051. Hence, this research finding provides an idea for research that can be applied by future researcher in observing the socioeconomics in the periphery.
