Bencana Banjir dan Impak terhadap Penduduk: Kajian Kes di Kedah

Kejadian banjir kilat yang berlaku pada 21 Ogos 2021, memberi impak besar kepada penduduk Kampung Setol, Yan, Kedah. Kejadian banjir ini dicetuskan oleh lonjakan air secara tiba-tiba, memberikan kesan yang serius kepada ekonomi tempatan. Bagi menangani isu ini, satu kajian telah dijalankan di Kampung Setol untuk menilai kesan bencana banjir terhadap penduduk dan mengenal pasti langkah untuk mengurangkan kesannya. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, tinjauan telah dijalankan dalam kalangan mangsa banjir dan penduduk setempat di Kampung Setol, Yan, Kedah. Data yang dikumpul daripada tinjauan ini dianalisis menggunakan kekerapan dan peratusan. Analisis mendapati bencana banjir memberi kesan yang besar kepada penduduk khususnya daripada segi kerosakan harta benda dan gangguan pendapatan harian. Oleh itu, pengurusan bencana yang berkesan adalah penting untuk mengurangkan kerugian dan melindungi kesejahteraan penduduk yang terjejas. Kajian ini juga boleh menjadi panduan berharga bagi pihak berkuasa yang bertanggungjawab dalam kesiapsiagaan bencana, membolehkan mereka mengambil langkah untuk meminimumkan kerosakan dan kerugian akibat bencana banjir yang akan datang. Tambahan pula, meningkatkan kesedaran dan pendidikan awam tentang pengurusan dan kesiapsiagaan bencana adalah penting untuk membina daya tahan dan mengurangkan kerentanan dalam kalangan penduduk terhadap kejadian sedemikian. Ini akan menjamin keselamatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana banjir.
