Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji status kefahaman guru dalam pentaksiran murid bermasalah pembelajaran bacaan. Reka bentuk kajian adalah kajian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpul melalui kaedah temubual yang teliti dan mendalam supaya dapat memberikan gambaran yang kukuh tentang kefahaman proses pentaksiran dalam kalangan guru. Kajian ini melibatkan 6 orang guru yang mengajar Program Literasi dan Numerasi (LINUS) di sebuah sekolah yang dipilih menggunakan teknik persampelan bertujuan. Kajian ini menggunakan Protokol Temu bual sebagai instrumen kajian yang dibina dari rujukan kajian literatur terkini. Temu bual dilakukan secara formal, terbuka dan generik berasaskan protokol temubual. Penyelidik menggunakan Kaedah Pengkategorian Bertema dalam menganalisis data kualitatif iaitu peringkat-peringkat transkrip verbatim, transkrip lengkap, pengkodan dan akhir sekali membina dan mencari tema. Dapatan temu bual menunjukkan dua daripada enam guru mempunyai status kefahaman mendalam, tiga orang mempunyai status kefahaman yang sederhana dan seorang guru yang kurang kefahaman dalam mengenali murid, membuat penyesuaian pengajaran dan pembelajaran dan melaksanakan pentaksiran sejajar dengan kemampuan murid. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan terdapat perkaitan antara tindakan guru mengenali murid dengan mendalam berdasarkan maklumat awal yang diperolehi iaitu mengkaji latar belakang murid, menjalankan saringan awal dan mengenal pasti murid berkeperluan khas memberi kesan kepada tindakan penyesuaian dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran dan dapat melakukan penjajaran pentaksiran dengan kemampuan murid.

This study aims to assess the status of teachers' understanding of assessment in reading of students with learning disabilities. Design of the study was a qualitative descriptive study. Data was collected through a thorough and indepth interviews in order to give a strong understanding of the assessment process among the teachers. The study involved six teachers Program Literacy and Numeracy (LINUS) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Greenwood which is selected using purposive sampling technique. Protocol interviews is used as an instrument developed base on the latest literature review. Interviews conducted using protocol interview in a formal, open and generic forms. The data was analyzed using Data Categorization Themed Method comprised four stages, first is verbatim transcript, secondly the transcript is complete, thirdly coding, and finally build and looking for a theme. The result of the interview showed that teachers' status of understanding were two teachers have a deep understanding, three people have a simple understanding, while one teacher has lack of understanding of the students, adapting lessons and assessing in line with students' ability. The implications of this research shows that is the relationship between the teachers practice in studying the background of students, knowing students with in-depth preliminary information obtained by conducting initial screening and identification of students with special need with an adjustment teaching and learning approaches and alignment between assessment and students' ability.
