This paper will present the findings based on case studies to see the decisionmaking process by using the concepts of dharuriyyat,hajiyyat and tahsiniyyat (DHT) in family counseling or marriage. The study employed a qualitative method and using the observation protocol for three counseling session for data collection purposes. Data were analyzed by using the Model 3C Licthman (2006). Data analysis shows that DHT concept applications in family counseling or marriage are implemented by focusing on determining the level of need or prioritization of a action based on the degree of dharuriyyat, hajiyyat and tahsiniyyat specifically in determining wellness and quality of the life of clients and family holistically.
