Author Guidelines
MANUSCRIPTS PUBLISHED
Management Research Journal (MRJ) publishes original scholarly works in management and related disciplines. The journal accepts Full Research Articles, Review Articles, and Case Studies.
Full Research Articles
Full Research Articles report original empirical, theoretical, or methodological contributions that advance knowledge in management and related fields. Manuscripts should present significant findings supported by rigorous research procedures. Articles are normally expected to be between 7,000 and 8,000 words and should include a minimum of 20 references.
Review Articles
Review Articles critically evaluate and synthesise existing literature, identify research trends, and propose future research directions. Authors are encouraged to adopt systematic, scoping, bibliometric, or integrative review approaches. Review articles should include a minimum of 30 references.
Case Studies
Case Studies provide in-depth analyses of contemporary management issues, organisational practices, policies, or phenomena within real-life contexts. Preference is given to cases that offer substantial practical and theoretical contributions. Case studies should include a minimum of 20 references.
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Authors must prepare manuscripts using the latest MRJ template. Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and submitted in Microsoft Word format.
The manuscript shall be prepared on A4 paper size. Top, left, and right margins shall be 30 mm, while the bottom margin shall be 25 mm. The manuscript should be formatted in a single-column layout and all pages must be numbered consecutively. Standard fonts should be used throughout the manuscript.
The manuscript should contain the following sections:

Optional sections include Highlights, Graphical Abstract, Appendices, Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Materials.
TITLE
The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the study. Abbreviations, acronyms, and mathematical expressions should be avoided wherever possible. The title should facilitate indexing and retrieval by search engines and bibliographic databases.
AUTHOR NAMES AND AFFILIATIONS
Authors should provide their full names, institutional affiliations, complete postal addresses, country names, institutional email addresses, and ORCID identifiers. Affiliations should be indicated using superscript numbering immediately after the author names. All authors listed in the manuscript must have made substantial scholarly contributions to the work.
CORRESPONDING AUTHOR
One author must be designated as the corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for communication throughout the submission, review, publication, and post-publication processes. The corresponding author must provide a complete correspondence address, institutional email address, telephone number, and ORCID identifier.
ABSTRACT
The abstract should not exceed 250 words and must summarise the purpose of the study, methodology, principal findings, and major conclusions. The abstract should be self-contained and should not include citations, figures, tables, or unexplained abbreviations.
KEYWORDS
Authors should provide three to six keywords immediately after the abstract. Keywords should accurately represent the content of the manuscript and assist in indexing and discoverability. Authors are encouraged to include one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-related keyword where relevant.
INTRODUCTION
The Introduction should provide sufficient background information, establish the significance of the study, identify research gaps, and clearly state the objectives of the research. Excessive literature review and detailed discussion of findings should be avoided in this section.
METHODS AND MATERIALS
This section should provide sufficient methodological detail to enable replication of the study. Authors should clearly describe the research design, sampling procedures, participants, instruments, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques. Previously published methods should be appropriately cited and any modifications clearly explained.
Figures and tables should be cited in the text, numbered consecutively, and accompanied by concise captions. Figures should be submitted in high-resolution formats, while tables should be provided as editable text rather than images.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The Results and Discussion sections may be combined. Findings should be presented clearly and logically using appropriate tables and figures. The discussion should interpret the findings, explain their significance, and relate them to previous studies and theoretical perspectives. Extensive repetition of results or excessive citation of published work should be avoided.
CONCLUSIONS
A conclusion section is mandatory. It should summarise the principal findings, highlight the contribution of the study, discuss limitations, and suggest directions for future research. References should not be cited in this section.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
This section should acknowledge financial support, grants, institutional assistance, and contributions from individuals who do not qualify for authorship. Grant names and reference numbers should be included where applicable. If no funding was received, authors should state:
"This study was not supported by any grants from funding bodies in the public, private, or not-for-profit sectors."
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could influence the research. If no conflict exists, authors should state:
"The authors declare no conflicts of interest."
AUTHORS CONTRIBUTION
Authors must provide an Authors Contribution Statement using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy). Each author should be assigned at least one contribution role, such as Conceptualization, Methodology, Formal Analysis, Investigation, Writing – Original Draft, Writing – Review and Editing, Supervision, or Funding Acquisition.
AVAILABILITY OF DATA AND MATERIALS
Authors must include a Data Availability Statement. One of the following statements may be used:
-
Data available within the article or supplementary materials.
-
Data available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
-
Data openly available in a public repository with a DOI or permanent identifier.
-
Data restricted due to commercial, privacy, or ethical considerations.
-
Data subject to third-party restrictions.
DECLARATION OF GENERATIVE AI

Authors may use one of the following statements:
"The authors declare that no generative AI was used in the writing of this manuscript."
or
"During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL] to improve language and readability. After using the tool, the author(s) carefully reviewed and edited the content and take full responsibility for the content of the publication."
ETHIC STATEMENTS
For studies involving human participants, animals, personal data, or sensitive information, authors must provide an ethical approval statement including:
-
Ethical approval status.
-
Name of approving ethics committee.
-
