Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap dan hubungan antara kepimpinan situasi dan kepuasan kerja dalam kalangan guru sekolah menengah kebangsaan di negeri Sarawak. Kajian ini dijalankan secara kuantitatif, kaedah tinjauan menggunakan soal selidik bagi mengutip. Kajian ini menggunakan instrumen kajian Leadership Orientation Instrument (LOI) dan Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). Pensampelan rawak berstrata dan rawak mudah digunakan untuk mendapatkan 375 orang responden kalangan guru sekolah menengah kebangsaan di negeri Sarawak. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap kepimpinan situasi pada tahap tinggi (M=4.27, SP=0.57).  Selain itu, tahap kepuasan kerja juga tinggi (M=4.23, SP=0.48). Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif sederhana dan signifikan antara kepimpinan situasi dan kepuasan kerja (r = .594, p < .001). Kesimpulannya, kepimpinan situasi mempunyai hubungan yang positif terhadap kepuasan kerja dalam kalangan guru-guru sekolah menengah kebangsaan di negeri Sarawak. Implikasi kajian memberikan indikator bahawa kepimpinan situasi perlu digalakkan dan dipraktikkan dalam usaha untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja.
