Abstract

This study aims to analyse expert consensus on the design of the NyaNiMu Singing Module developed to support the development of social skills among children aged three to four years in childcare centres. Employing the Design and Development Research (DDR) approach, the module was developed based on findings from a needs analysis, literature review, and semi-structured interviews with three field experts. Content validation of the module was conducted using the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM), involving 15 experts of experts in early childhood education and music pedagogy. The FDM analysis utilised threshold values (d), triangular fuzzy numbers, and defuzzification with an α-cut value of ≥ 0.5. The findings indicate a full consensus of 100% among experts on four main components of the module, namely Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Social Response, Social Interaction and Collaboration, and Self-Confidence and Social Engagement. All four components recorded threshold values below 0.2 and fuzzy scores (A) ranging from 0.949 to 0.967, demonstrating strong content validity, pedagogical suitability, and usability of the module for application in childcare settings. This study confirms that the NyaNiMu Singing Module has strong potential as an enjoyable, structured, and developmentally appropriate approach to strengthening early social skills among young children.
