Vol. 9 No. 3 (2022): (Special Issue 1/2022: Student Engagement and EdTech)

Student engagement plays a central role in meaningful learning. Due to the digital age, one of the disciplines is educational technology or the integration of digital technology in instruction to facilitate learning. The ultimate of instructional success is student involvement with the presence of technology. Interaction between learners and instructors or content in online environments is yet inconclusive. Therefore, this special issue attempts to bring the knowledge gap in student engagement by fostering educational technology. It has made a wide range of creative strategies and digital tools deployment, thus increasing the potential to enhance interaction and empower learning. As technology has rapidly changed the learning and teaching process and led to enormous growth in online instruction, there is a need to reexamine the meaning of student engagement and explore effective ways to address it. In this sense, this special issue aims to explore innovative approaches to promote learner engagement in digital contexts.
