Abstract

Mathematics belief is one of the important factors for teachers to understand their profession in order to achieve the instructional objective. The discussion on mathematics belief system inlcudes mathematics beliefs about nature, mathematics beliefs about teaching and mathematics beliefs about learning within mathematics teachers’ context. The three components play a vital role in determining the teaching effectiveness ans students’ achievement as well as teachers’ action in classroom. Belief is teacher’s conception towards mathematics that is related to the planning and implementation of teaching.
