Archiving Policy

The Malaysian Journal of Music is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To ensure continued access, the Journal applies multiple digital archiving and preservation measures.

All articles published in the Malaysian Journal of Music are archived through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a trusted, decentralised preservation system based on LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology. This provides redundancy and long-term accessibility, particularly for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

In addition, the Malaysian Journal of Music maintains a public digital backup of its content through the Internet Archive, which regularly captures and stores snapshots of the journal website. This provides an additional layer of preservation and supports ongoing public access.

These archiving arrangements ensure that the Journal’s content remains secure, citable, and accessible for future generations of researchers and readers.
