Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan profesionalisme guiru dengan kepimpinan guru. Sejumlah 136 orang guru daripada sepuluh buah sekolah rendah jenis kebangsaan Cina dipilih sebagai responden dengan mengguna kaedah persampelan rawak. Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik untuk mengumpul data. Deskriptif analisis digunakan untuk menerangkan tahap profesionalisme guru dan kepimpinan guru di sekolah. Korelasi Pearson digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan profesionalisme guru dengan kepimpinan guru. Dapatan menunjukkan tahap profesionalisme guru dan kepimpinan guru adalah tinggi. Hubungan antara profesionalisme guru dan kepimpinan guru adalah positif dan signifikan. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan perlunya pembangunan profesionalisme guru di sekolah. Kemahiran kepimpinan guru perlu ditingkatkan untuk penambahbaikan sekolah dan pencapaian pelajar. Pelbagai kursus atau program pembangunan profesionalisme perlu disediakan untuk guru.
This study aims to examine the relationship between teacher professionalism and teacher leadership.A total of 136 teachers from ten Chinese primary schools of were chosen as respondents selected using random sampling method. This study used questionnaire for data collection and analysed using descriptive analysis to describe the level of professionalism and leadership of teachers in school. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between teacher professionalism and teacher leadership. The results showed that both the level of professionalism and leadership of teacher in primary schools was at a high level. The relationship between teacher professionalism and leadership showed a positive and significant relationship.The result of the study indicates the need for professional development of teachers in schools. Teacher leadership skills needs to be enhanced to improve school and students achievement. Various courses or professional development programs for teachers should be made available for teachers.
