Reka Bentuk Animasi Agen Pedagogi Talking-head: Satu Penilaian Kebolehgunaan dalam Konteks Persekitaran Pembelajaran Berbantu Multimedia

Penggunaan animasi talking-head sebagai agen pedagogi telah diaplikasikan secara meluas dalam pembangunan bahan pembelajaran multimedia. Sehubungan itu, kajian ini bertujuan membangunkan animasi agen pedagogi talking-head serta menilai tahap kebolehgunaannya dalam persekitaran pembelajaran multimedia. Proses pembangunan animasi dilaksanakan berpandukan model reka bentuk instruksional ADDIE yang merangkumi fasa analisis, reka bentuk, pembangunan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian. Penilaian kebolehgunaan dijalankan menggunakan instrumen User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) melibatkan seramai 30 orang pelajar tahun pertama di sebuah politeknik di Malaysia. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Analisis kebolehpercayaan instrumen menunjukkan nilai cronbach’s alpha yang tinggi (α = 0.92). Skor min bagi item UEQ menunjukkan bahawa animasi talking-head yang dibangunkan mudah digunakan, jelas, praktikal serta diterima secara positif oleh pelajar. Walaupun terdapat beberapa item yang menunjukkan ruang penambahbaikan, khususnya dari segi kelajuan penyampaian kandungan dan susunan pergerakan animasi, dapatan keseluruhan menyokong kesesuaian animasi talking-head sebagai agen pedagogi yang mesra pengguna. Kajian ini menegaskan kepentingan pembangunan agen pedagogi yang berpandukan prinsip pembangunan yang betul bagi memastikan bahan pembelajaran yang dibangunkan sesuai dan boleh digunakan secara berkesan dalam pembelajaran.
ABSTRACT - The use of talking-head animations as pedagogical agents has been widely applied in the development of multimedia learning materials. Accordingly, this study aimed to develop a talking-head pedagogical agent animation and evaluate its usability within a multimedia learning environment. The animation development process was guided by the ADDIE instructional design model, comprising the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Usability evaluation was conducted using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) instrument, involving 30 first-year students at a polytechnic in Malaysia. Data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach. Reliability analysis of the instrument revealed a high Cronbach’s alpha value (α = 0.92). Mean scores for the UEQ items indicated that the developed talking-head animation was easy to use, clear, and practical, and was positively received by the students. Although some items indicated room for improvement—specifically regarding content delivery speed and the sequencing of animation movements—the overall findings support the suitability of the talking-head animation as a user-friendly pedagogical agent. This study underscores the importance of developing pedagogical agents based on sound development principles to ensure that the resulting learning materials are appropriate and effective for learning purposes.
