The study is conducted in qualitative approach involving two participants. Selection of participants is purposive from one primary school in Perak. The data collection involves observation, pre- and post-teaching sessions, interviews and document analysis. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings show that teachers do not write explicitly the instructional plan to be executed. Two types of the mathematical values, namely the value of rationalism and the value of objectism, are inculcated in the classroom teaching. However, the implementation is not comprehensive. The inculcation of the value of rationalism is only through the process of explanation and reasoning, while the inculcation of the value of objectism is through the use of real-life context, symbols and diagrams. Implication of the study is give awareness to teachers and educators about the need to inculcate the value of rationalism and the value of objectism comprehensively, making the mathematics teaching and learning more meaningful and thus improving the high order thinking skills of the students.
