Development of a multimedia module for Molecular Symmetry topic was successfully designed by using a few multimedia soft wares. Swift 3D Version 4.50 software was used to create ‘ball and stick’ model of molecular structure with 3-dimensional (3D) environments and combination of two different representations of molecules in pictures which were static and moving image (animation). Animation was done for each rotation and reflection operation via the axis and plane respectively. As a comparison, pictures of molecules for 2 dimensional (2D) were provided by using Chem Office 2005 software. Macromedia Director MX 2004 was used also as software backbone where all the elements were combined together to develop an interactive multimedia module. A survey research was done to evaluate the developed module using 2 sets of questionnares measured by 5 points Likert scale. The results showed that students were very interested and motivated to use this developed multimedia module during learning of the Molecular Symmetry topic. Students also understand better for each operation of the molecules rather than looking at the static representations of molecules in books.
